Important
A valid tariff provision is not automatically the correct classification for a particular product. Validity confirms that the provision exists; classification still depends on product facts and legal rules.
Common reasons a code is not found
- The code belongs to another country’s national tariff
- The code was replaced or removed in a newer revision
- Only part of the full statistical reporting number was entered
- The punctuation or digits were copied incorrectly
