Why national codes differ
The first six digits of the Harmonized System are internationally coordinated. Each destination then adds its own tariff and statistical digits, duty treatments and legal notes. A crosswalk is a starting point for research, not a substitute for checking the destination country's current tariff.
When to use this tool
Use it when a supplier gives you an HS6 code, when you are expanding a catalog into a new market, or when an ERP contains a code from the wrong national system.
